Elevator installation in new buildings, across Morocco
We support property developers, architects and contractors from the drawing stage to commissioning, with a single point of contact from start to finish.
Who it's for
- Property developers: an elevator delivered on the construction schedule, compliant, with a maintenance contract ready for the building manager.
- Architects and engineering firms: shaft, pit and headroom dimensions at the preliminary design stage, so nothing needs redoing after the pour.
- General contractors: an elevator package coordinated with structure, electrical and finishing trades.
- Private owners: home elevators for villas and small family buildings.
What a VITAL installation includes
- Traffic and shaft study: number of stops, building population and use, to size load, speed and number of units.
- Equipment selection: machine-room-less electric elevators in most cases, hydraulic for low rises, panoramic or freight depending on the project.
- Supply of components compliant with EN 81-20 and EN 81-50.
- Assembly by our own technicians: guide rails, machine, car, landing doors, wiring.
- Commissioning and testing: adjustments, safety tests, levelling checks.
- Technical file handed to the owner and training for the building manager.
- Warranty and maintenance contract so operation starts on a sound footing.
The right time to call us: the drawing stage
An elevator is prepared before the concrete. Four points decide everything:
- the shaft section (width and depth) sets the possible car size;
- the pit, below the lowest level, houses the buffers;
- the headroom at the top level protects the car at the end of travel;
- the electrical provisions and the room or cupboard for the controller.
When we are involved at this stage, we send exact dimensions to the architect and check the shaft before the pour. When the shaft already exists, we adapt the equipment to it.
Which elevator for your building?
| Type | Typical use | Strengths |
|---|---|---|
| Machine-room-less electric | Residential and office buildings | Today's standard: compact, efficient, quiet |
| Hydraulic | Low rises, heavy loads | Robust, simple shaft, no rooftop machine room |
| Panoramic | Hotels, shopping centres, lobbies | Glass car, architectural value |
| Freight | Industry, logistics, retail | High loads, reinforced cars |
As a guide, a typical residential building gets a 630 kg (8-person) elevator at 1 m/s. Taller or busier buildings need higher load, speed or more units; that is what the traffic study determines.
Compliance and safety
The equipment we install complies with European standards EN 81-20 (safety rules for construction and installation) and EN 81-50 (component testing) and carries CE marking. For buildings open to the public, EN 81-70 governs accessibility for people with reduced mobility: car dimensions, buttons, audible and visual signals.
Before handover, every unit goes through a series of tests: safety gear, overspeed governor, brakes, door contacts, alarm. We accompany the owner during the inspection by the approved body.
How a project runs
- Discussion and study: you send us the drawings or we visit the site.
- Priced proposal: equipment, finishes, schedule, warranty and maintenance terms.
- Validation of provisions with the architect and the structural contractor.
- Manufacturing and delivery of components.
- Assembly in the finished shaft, coordinated with the other trades.
- Testing, handover and commissioning, then start of the maintenance contract.
Questions about installation
How long does an elevator installation take?
It depends on the equipment chosen, manufacturing lead time and progress of the structural work. We set a schedule in the quote and fit the assembly to your construction site.
What shaft dimensions should we plan for?
As a guide, an 8-person elevator needs a shaft of about 1.60 m by 1.80 m, a pit of about 1.20 m and headroom of about 3.60 m at the top level. These values vary by model: we send exact dimensions before the pour.
Is a machine room required?
Not any more, in most cases. Machine-room-less electric elevators place the machine in the shaft and the controller in a cupboard on the top landing. A machine room remains useful for some freight and hydraulic units.
Is the elevator under warranty?
Yes. A warranty covers the equipment and assembly; its duration and terms are set out in the quote. It comes with a maintenance contract from commissioning onwards.
A building in the works?
Send us your building drawings: we return shaft dimensions and a priced proposal.
